Call to Worship – Min. Wanda Hodges 

Leader: We gather together to worship our loving, nurturing God, who, like a mother, knows us intimately, loves us unconditionally, teaches us the way we should go, and comforts us in times of need. 

People: Loving God, thank you for your tender care. 

Leader: We gather together to worship our loving God, who loved us before we were yet born. 

People: Loving God, thank you for forming us in our mother's womb.    

Leader: We gather together to worship our nurturing God, who knows us even better than we know ourselves. 

People: Loving God, thank you for knowing us by name. 

Leader: We gather together to worship our loving God, whose presence never leaves us. 

People: Loving God, thank you for your presence with us. 

Leader: We gather to worship our loving God whose love for us never ceases.

7 who rules by his might forever,
 whose eyes keep watch on the nations—

8 Bless our God, O peoples;
  let the sound of his praise be heard,

  and has not let our feet slip.

    you have tried us as silver is tried.

    you laid burdens on our backs;
