IMPACT

Dear Union Family,

          As we prepare to step into a new year with renewed faith and expectation, I am inviting our entire church to journey together through the Dynamite Prayer experience for the month of January. Next year, our 2026 theme is IMPACT, and we are beginning the year by seeking God’s power to make an impact in our lives, our church, and our community.

          January will be our month to pray intentionally, listen deeply, and align our spirits with what God wants to do in us and through us in 2026. Each day in January, we will pray a focused “Prayer Hold” from Dynamite Prayer: A 28-Day Experiment by Rev. Dr. Rosario Picardo and Rev. Dr. Sue Nilson Kibbey. Together, we are believing in God for Dunamis, the Holy Spirit power, that equips us to make the kind of IMPACT that transforms lives.

         You may join daily, a few times a week, or whenever your schedule allows. Every moment we gather is an opportunity for God to shape our hearts for Kingdom impact.

This will be our posture for 2026: not just doing church but seeking God first so we can make a meaningful IMPACT wherever God sends us.

How to Participate

       1. Join Us on Zoom (Live Prayer)
       Come as you are. Cameras on or off. Just bring your heart ready to seek God and be shaped for greater impact.

       2. Follow Along on Your Own Time
       If mornings don’t work, choose a consistent moment each day to pray and reflect. Impact begins with personal rhythm and devotion.

       3. Get the Book (Optional)
       Dynamite Prayer provides the daily reflections. It can be purchased on Amazon (List price $9.59)

       4. Mark Your Calendar

       January will culminate in our Union Church-Wide Retreat (January 30 & 31). This retreat will help us discern how God is calling Union to make IMPACT in 2026—spiritually, relationally, financially, and missionally.

As we pray throughout January, we are asking God to release dunamis power that renews us, strengthens us, and prepares us to live out our 2026 calling:
IMPACT — Church Care, Community Expansion, Children & Youth, and Advancing the Kingdom.
